Vehicles with swirl marks, scratches, oxidation or other paint defects may benefit from additional correction prior to coating. We recommend an in-person paint assessment to evaluate the condition of your vehicle and determine the appropriate level of preparation.
When Paint Correction and Ceramic Coating are booked together, we can often provide custom package pricing based on the vehicle's condition, required level of correction and selected coating package.

Once applied to properly prepared paint, the coating bonds to the surface to provide up to 1 year of protection, helping resist environmental contamination, road grime, UV exposure and everyday elements. The result is a noticeably glossier, slicker and easier-to-maintain finish with excellent water-beading performance.

This preparation is not intended to provide significant defect removal. Vehicles with noticeable swirl marks, scratches, oxidation, water spotting or other paint defects may require a more extensive Paint Correction service, which is priced separately.
We recommend an in-person paint assessment to determine the appropriate preparation for your vehicle. When Paint Correction and Ceramic Coating are booked together, custom package pricing will be available.

At 6SHINE Auto Spa, we believe in setting clear and realistic expectations. Ceramic coatings provide excellent long-term protection and make your vehicle significantly easier to maintain, but they do not make paint damage-proof or maintenance-free.
Please review the following before booking your ceramic coating service:
• Durability ratings are estimates, not guarantees. A coating rated for 1, 2, 5 or 8 years represents its potential service life under proper conditions and maintenance. Actual longevity can vary based on mileage, vehicle storage, climate, environmental exposure, washing methods and maintenance.
• Ceramic coatings are not scratch-proof. They can provide additional surface protection but will not prevent scratches, swirl marks, rock chips, dents or damage caused by improper washing or physical contact.
• Ceramic coatings do not replace Paint Protection Film (PPF). A ceramic coating is not designed to absorb impacts from rocks, road debris or other objects.
• Water spots are still possible. Hydrophobic properties help water leave the surface more easily, but minerals can still remain behind and create water spotting if water is allowed to dry on the vehicle.
• Existing paint defects are not removed by the coating. Scratches, swirl marks, oxidation, etching and other defects must be addressed through Paint Enhancement or Paint Correction before coating. Ceramic coating protects the prepared finish—it does not repair damaged paint.
• Paint Correction is priced separately. Ceramic coating pricing does not include Paint Correction unless specifically stated as part of a package.
• A minimum Paint Enhancement is required before we install a ceramic coating. Additional correction may be recommended based on the condition of the vehicle.
• Proper curing is essential. Customers must follow the provided curing and aftercare instructions following installation. Exposure to water, chemicals, washing or contamination too soon after application may negatively affect coating performance.
• Regular maintenance is still required. Ceramic-coated vehicles must still be washed properly. Neglected maintenance, automatic brush washes, harsh chemicals and improper washing techniques can reduce coating performance and introduce paint defects.
• Hydrophobic behaviour can temporarily decrease. Reduced water beading does not necessarily mean the coating has failed. Mineral deposits, road film and contamination can mask the coating's hydrophobic properties and may require professional decontamination or maintenance.
• Results vary by vehicle. Paint type, age, previous repairs, repainting, clear-coat condition and existing damage can affect preparation, appearance and coating performance.

Any stated 1-Year, 2-Year, 5-Year or 8-Year durability should be understood as the coating manufacturer's rated or expected durability under appropriate conditions—not a guarantee that every vehicle will achieve the maximum stated lifespan.
Proper washing, periodic decontamination and recommended coating maintenance are important for achieving the best possible long-term performance.
